AMAZING NIGHT OF MUSIC!!
Prior to taking kids to this concert, I had heard 2 songs, and fearful that I would not survive the evening of floor "seating" (standing). I was surrounded by "kids" and feeling quite old, but I was pleasantly shocked at how much I LOVED Nico Vega. I continued to be awed to the very end of the L. Shankar show. This is one of the best concerts I have ever been to, and I recommend it to everyone - if you get the chance to see this band, GO!
The parking at Allstate Arena was the only horrible thing about this evening. They should be ashamed of the fact that they charge $20 to use their parking lot and then leave the entire lot to a free-for-all gridlocked mess where it takes over an hour to get to an exit. (I have to say after horrible experiences twice in the past few months here, I will avoid Allstate events.)
